SPLASH SCREENS
Originally created to display
on-screen while a program or game loaded, splash graphics are images that
may be used as an introduction page to a website. Many splash screens feature
animation, but animation can also be a time-waster for website visitors,
and splash graphics need not be animated to be effective. Static graphics
screens serve as a "pre-home" page that enhances the look and feel of a
website and acts as an aesthetic complement to the site's purpose and content.
They are a simple but effective tool for author or product branding. Click
